The former factory nursery building from the 1970s lost its purpose with the end of the one-party rule. A period of commercial leases, purpose-built conversions and neglected maintenance followed. The building is located in the centre of a prefabricated housing estate and is pleasantly set in the green space of the former nursery garden, which is exploited in the proposal.

The single-storey volume with a flat roof is divided into three sub-volumes, - operational units that surround an open entrance atrium. The original mass is newly complemented by covered terraces of classrooms and offices from the south, connecting the interior with the garden and preventing overheating in summer.

  • Stavba

Objekt dětských jeslí ze 70. let minulého století přestal sloužit svému účelu po skončení vlády jedné strany. Poté byl pronajímán mnohým subjektům ke komerčním účelům bez prováděné údržby.

    Archidiaries

Blue Elephant, designed by Atelier 38, is divided into three sub-volumes, representing the function of a language school, combined with a publishing and bookbinding workshop, forming an open entrance atrium.
