Pusta Polom
house
Authors: Tomáš Bindr, Lucie Mohylová
Status: realisation
Project year: 2013
Area: 144 m2
The compact mass of the house looks like a polyhedral crystal. A distinctive principle is the "bite-out" sloping terraces, which enhance the connection between the house and the exterior. The house communicates with all sides of the world through the glass surfaces.
The main characteristic of the house is the use of a uniform covering (slate) on the roof and the external walls. This natural material is in perfect harmony with the lapidary mass of the house. The covered terraces are differentiated in material, wooden panelling is used. The option of screening or complete covering of the terraces is made possible by outdoor folding panels in wood.
In contrast to the grey mass of the house, the interior is conceived in a light shade. A distinctive moment is the admission of sloping ceilings in the living area, so certain signs of crystal are also visible from the interior.

Stavba
Brick award
