Public spaces
reconstruction and revitalization of the square
Koncept.
The proposal follows on from the architectural vision elaborated by the studio Kamil Mrva Architects, s.r.o. in 2016. The basic requirement is to raise the quality of public space to a level that corresponds to its symbolic and functional meaning, to eliminate negative phenomena in the territory (functional and spatial barriers, conflicts with non-adaptable citizens).
The public space was diversified into three categories characteristic of the structure of the housing estate IV. circuit:
I. front gardens – entrances to buildings semi-public representative
II. inner blocks – semi-public community space
III. public space street, city park, square, promenade – symbolic space.
This breakdown reflects the requirements for individual spaces, as we subsequently approached them.
